Josyp Broz Tito, the "eternal partisan", was one of the most controversial and at the same time influential figures of the 20th century. He played a key role in the formation and stabilization of Yugoslavia after World War II. Tito, who managed to unite the various peoples of Yugoslavia and ensure its independence from the influence of the great powers, was both a strategic genius and a brutal dictator.

Mari-Yanina Kalich's book examines Tito's life and legacy against the background of his historical achievements and defeats. Tito, who ruled Yugoslavia for 35 years, became famous for his achievements in the fight against the German occupation during World War II. His success in creating and maintaining a multinational state is the result of his outstanding political and military abilities.

However, after his death, Yugoslavia could not maintain its integrity, and violence broke out on its territory, which left a bitter mark in history. Tito, who managed to prevent the country from splitting during his lifetime, was unable to guarantee its stability after his death, which led to serious consequences, including military conflicts that seriously shook Europe.

Kalich offers readers a new perspective on Tito, separating myth from reality and viewing him as a complex figure who was both a visionary and a dictator. This study provides a better understanding of Tito's impact on Yugoslavia and world history as a whole, and why his legacy remains controversial and debated to this day.
