The book "Malevich. Autobiographical Notes 1918–1933" is a unique publication that for the first time in Ukraine fully presents the autobiographical texts of Kazimir Malevich (1879–1935), an outstanding Ukrainian avant-garde artist, the founder of Suprematism. This publication is the first book in a series of autobiographical texts by artists from the publishing house "RODOVID".

The choice of Malevich's memoirs is not accidental, as these records are the main source of evidence about his early life and are often mentioned in discussions about the artist's connection with Ukraine. The book collects three separate, unfinished autobiographical texts (1918, 1923-1925, 1933), where Malevich humorously recalls his childhood and youth, family, friends, studies and everything that influenced his development as an artist. These records contain personal feelings and experiences of childhood, reflections on the problems of art, reflections and comparisons.

The text, written in an exciting and talented manner, is easy to read from any line. The arrangement was carried out by the cultural scientist Anastasia Bilousova, the coordinator of the projects of the publishing house "RODOVID". An important feature of the publication is the complete preservation of the original language of Kazimir Malevich. The artist's autobiography was "re-read" by modern illustrators Yevgenia Polosina and Anya Ivanenko (Seri/Graf Studio), whose illustrations "wrapped" Malevich's memories in an interesting artbook format.

This book is a valuable source for anyone who seeks to delve deeper into Malevich's legacy and discover the artist from a different perspective, understanding his connection to Ukrainian culture and the origins of his innovative ideas.
