Notes of the Ukrainian Samashedsh

This is Lina Kostenko's first new book in the last two decades of silence and her first prose novel.

The novel is written on behalf of a 35-year-old computer programmer who, against the background of personal dramas, meticulously and deeply analyzes all the excesses of our globalized world.

In a world of excessive (mis)information and general alienation, he, having become a hostage of the world's absurdities, tries to overcome the communication gap between man and woman, family and profession, between Ukraine and the rest of the world.

"Notes of a Ukrainian Self-made Man" combines elements of fiction, personal diaries, modern chronicles and journalism.
