Peter Singer's book "Animal Liberation" since its first publication in 1975 opened the eyes of millions of people to the suffering of animals and the need to fight for their rights.
In this book, the author reveals the terrible realities of modern "farms" and procedures for testing products on animals, offering healthy, humane alternatives. According to Singer, "species discrimination" in relation to animals today is not only a deeply ecological and social, but also a moral issue.
The book inspired a worldwide movement to eliminate much of the cruel and unnecessary laboratory experiments on animals, and started a humane revolution. This revolution continues to this day.
The first Ukrainian edition of the book is very timely and relevant, given the changes currently taking place in our society. The book was published on the initiative of the all-Ukrainian humanist movement UAnimals , which actively fights for animal rights
