Under the cover of this book, three works of the famous German playwright Bertolt Brecht are collected: "Fear and the poor in the Third Empire", "The good man from Sichuan" and "Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti". Each of these works is separate, but all of them are considered classics of German-language literature of the 20th century. Written in exile, when the author was forced to flee Germany after the rise of the Nazis, these plays answer many philosophical questions, such as trust in one's relatives, the influence of society on a person and the essence of a "good person". But they also provide answers to everyday questions, for example, what kind of change occurs in a person when he finds himself in atypical circumstances, whether the owner can be considered a "good person", and how difficult it is to hide one's true intentions.
