Sorrowful elegies. Letters from Pontus

The first complete Ukrainian translations of "Sorrowful Elegies" and "Letters from Pontus", written in exile, gave Ovid a sincere human glory, which has not lost its weight to this day. These works found a response in the hearts of many European poets, including Shevchenko and his "Kobzar". Ovid became a symbol of the poet-exile for all time through the "Sorrowful Elegies".
