Meridian-czernowitz

Meridian Czernowitz is a project of the Chernivtsi regional public organization "Cultural Capital", which specializes in literary management and aims to return Chernivtsi to the cultural map of Europe.

Since 2010, it has been functioning as an International Literary Corporation, which includes several poetry festivals and book projects.

The Meridian Czernowitz initiative group includes: poet and journalist Ihor Pomerantsev, writer Yuriy Andruhovych, literary critic Petro Ryhlo, translator Mark Belorusets, public figure Svyatoslav Pomerantsev, poet Serhiy Zhadan and others.

Meridian Czernowitz is not a traditional publishing house: there is no staff, office or warehouses. For each book project, specialists are involved who work on the author's manuscript.

Meridian Czernowitz publishes fictionmodern authors, publishing five to seven books annually. Among the authors: Yuriy Andruhovych, Igor Pomerantsev, Oksana Zabuzhko, Serhii Zhadan, Taras Prokhasko, Yuriy Izdryk and others.
