Luke Harding is a journalist from Great Britain, the author of eight documentary books, which have been translated into thirty languages. He worked as a correspondent for The Guardian newspaper and received an award for his work. Harding became the first foreign journalist since the end of the Cold War to be forcibly expelled from the Russian Federation. In the summer of 2022, he was put on the Kremlin's "black list".

On February 24, 2022, Luke Harding was in Kyiv. From the first days of the beginning of the full-scale war, he interacted with Ukrainians, visited the hot spots of the conflict, recorded testimonies and described the events in order to show the world the atrocities of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine.
