Poland's relations with Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine. 450 years after the Union of Lublin

The scientific research of an international team of scientists from Poland, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine aims to shed light on the historical significance of the Union of Lublin in 1569, which established the Republic of Both Nations (Polish Commonwealth), a state that united the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. We must not forget that the perception of this great state formation, which was the Commonwealth, functions differently in the memory of the countries that are its heirs. Much effort remains to be made, both historically and politically, in order to form a common vision of the past of the countries that were once part of the Republic of the Two Nations. According to the intention of the editors, this publication should reflect the spirit of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, but in the modern context of the 21st century.
