Roman Shukhevich. The life of a legend | Olesya Isayuk

This book is devoted to the life and activities of Roman Shukhevych, the chief commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) in the period from 1943 to 1950. The author, historian Olesya Isayuk, explores in detail the biography of this prominent figure in Ukrainian history and recreates Shukhevych's life path, from his descent from an authoritative family to the distinguished status of a Ukrainian patriot.

The book is intended for a wide range of readers who are interested in the history of Ukraine and the liberation movement of the middle of the 20th century. It is based on a survey of various sources, testimonies and research, and also contains unique archival materials that help to better understand and appreciate the life and activities of Roman Shukhevych.

The author, Olesya Isayuk, is a doctor of philosophy and a research associate of the Liberation Movement Research Center and the Museum "Prison on Lontskogo". She is the author of numerous scientific works and publications on the history of Ukraine.
