Language games

The author's third book of poetry, which was published in 1959 by the publishing house "S. Fischer Ferlag". This collection contains poems born in the period from the beginning of 1955 to the end of 1958 and marked a radical change in Celan's poetics: the transition to the so-called "gray" language. It consists of 33 poems that absorb important biographical, political and aesthetic events and phenomena, reflecting the reality that must be "found and acquired". From a poetic point of view, these poems are distinguished by their pronounced innovative character.
