Bukovynsky Malanka | Iryna Pustinnikova

The guidebook "Bukovynski Malanky" is a project of the publishing house, which for the first time presents malanking as one of the oldest authentic traditions of Bukovyna and some other regions of Chernivtsi region, drawing attention to the uniqueness of the celebration in different districts and settlements. The author of the text, Iryna Pustinnikova, talks about lightning, taking into account the ethno-cultural, geographical and historical contexts.

The guide offers a route of the brightest "lightning spots" of Bukovyna and its neighbors. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the celebration along with parades in the Hertsaiv, Novoselytskyi districts, as well as in the famous Krasnoil, Vashkivetska, and Besarab districts.

The photographs used in the edition convey the unique, juicy and colorful atmosphere of one of the most ancient holidays not only in Bukovina, but also in Europe.

The guidebook "Bukovynski Malanka" will contribute to the development of the tourism industry in the region, because precisely thanks to Malanka, Chernivtsi region can become a tourist mecca for both Ukrainian and foreign travelers.
