This story tells the story of Dita Adlerova, a fourteen-year-old Jewish girl who finds herself in Auschwitz in 1943, one of the most horrific death camps of the Holocaust. In this cruel environment filled with pain, hunger and despair, Dita shows strength and courage.
She learns about the existence of an underground library created by prisoners, where books for teaching children are kept. Dita receives a dangerous task - to hide eight publications from the Nazis, which are the key to knowledge and freedom for other prisoners.
In this atmosphere of danger, every step may be the last, but Dita risks her life to save these books and ensure the education of the little ones. Her bravery and sacrifice in the face of great adversity reflect true heroism and humanity in the darkest of times.
