Polina Baitsym is an art historian and curator, known for her research on the Soviet monumental heritage and modernist art in Ukraine. It is engaged in the preservation and popularization of cultural heritage, in particular Soviet mosaics, which constitute a significant part of the Ukrainian architectural landscape.
Polina is a co-author of the book"Art for Architecture. Ukraine. Soviet Modernist Mosaics from 1960 to 1990" - "Chips: Ukrainian naive mosaics, 1950–90", which is dedicated to the study of Soviet modernist mosaics created in Ukraine between 1960 and 1990. This book not only documents the mosaic art of the time, but also reveals its cultural and historical significance, contributing to the preservation of this heritage.
