Euripides

Euripides — an ancient Greek dramatist, one of the most famous tragedians along with Sophocles and Aeschylus. He was born around 480 BC. His works are characterized by deep psychologism, dramatic tension and a critical attitude to traditional beliefs and social norms. Euripides wrote more than 90 plays, of which only 18 have survived to our time. The most famous tragedies are "Medea", "Hippolyte", "Bacchantes", "Electra" and "Andromache".

His works often focus on the internal conflicts of the heroes, complex moral issues and the tragic fate of man, which makes them relevant even in the modern world.
