Yuri Yanovsky (1902–1954)- Ukrainian writer, poet and playwright, one of the most prominent representatives of Ukrainian literature of the first half of the 20th century. He was born in the Kherson region, where he spent his childhood, and later studied in Kyiv. Yanovskyi was a member of the literary association "Hart" and an active figure in the cultural life of Ukraine. His work is characterized by a combination of romantic and realistic elements, as well as deep philosophical and national motives. Among his most famous works are the novels "Riders" and "The Master of the Ship", in which he masterfully explores the fate of man and his inner world against the background of historical events.
