Yuriy Vinnychuk- Ukrainian writer, journalist, translator and editor, known for his novels, short stories and essays. He was born in Stanislaviv (now Ivano-Frankivsk) in 1952, where he began his literary career. Vynnychuk is the author of numerous works, including "Malva Landa", "A Place for the Dragon", "Tango of Death" and "Spring Games in Autumn Gardens". His works are distinguished by bright language, humor, historical motifs and mystical elements. Vynnychuk is also involved in the revival and popularization of Ukrainian literary heritage, translating works from ancient Ukrainian and other languages.
