William Leadwell is a designer, educator, and author with over 25 years of experience in interactive and product design. He began his career as a systems designer and consultant at NASA, specializing in cockpit automation and astronaut training.
Leadwell is the author of several books, the most famous of which is Universal Principles of Design, which has been translated into more than 20 languages.
Avenues He also wrote "Deconstructing Product Design" and "Guidelines for Excellence in Management."
In his career, William has held positions as a lecturer in interactive and industrial design at the University of Houston and a lecturer in user interface design and instructional design at the University of Houston—Clear Lake.
He was also the Director of Innovation and Development at Stuff Creators Design Studio in Houston, Texas.
Leadwell currently serves as Vice President of Research and Development at Tiger Works, the research and development arm of Avenues: The World School, where he leads a team focused on education and learning sciences research, new curriculum development, programming and technology, and the architecture and design of new campuses around the world.
