Vsevolod Nestayko (1930–2014) is a Ukrainian writer, a classic of children's literature, known for his works for children and youth. He was born in Berdychev, and spent most of his life in Kyiv. Nestaiko became the author of more than thirty books, which gained great popularity among children and adults due to fun adventures, bright characters and subtle humor.
Nestaik's most famous work is a trilogy"Toreadors from Vasyukivka", which tells about the adventures of two friends, Java and Pavlusha, and is part of the school curriculum in Ukraine. The writer's works have been translated into many languages, and some of them have been screened. In his books, he combines exciting plots with important moral values, which makes his work relevant for readers of all ages.
For his contribution to literature, Nestaiko received numerous awards, including international awards. His books continue to be favorites among children and parents, contributing to the popularization of Ukrainian children's literature.
