Viktor Petrov (literary pseudonym — Viktor Domontovych)— Ukrainian writer, historian, ethnographer, archaeologist and literary critic. Born in 1894, he was a multifaceted personality who left his mark in various fields of science and culture. Known for his novels, short stories and literary essays, Petrov-Domontovych combined psychological analysis, philosophical reflections and historical context in his work.
Among his most famous works are the novel "Doctor Seraphicus" and the short story "The Girl with the Bear", which are distinguished by deep psychological portraits of characters and reflections on the meaning of life. Petrov also engaged in scientific research, worked at the Institute of Archeology and left a significant contribution to the study of the history and ethnography of Ukraine.
