Vasyl Ivashkiv, a graduate of Lviv University, is a recognized authority in the field of Ukrainian literature and folklore studies. Heading the Department of Ukrainian Folklore Studies, he not only teaches, but is also actively engaged in scientific activities. His research covers a wide range of topics, from the history of Ukrainian folklore to the analysis of the works of contemporary writers.
Among his most famous works: the monographs "The Artistic, Literary and Folkloristic Paradigm of the Early Works of Panteleimon Kulish" and "Ukrainian Romantic Drama of the 1930s-1980s."
