Walter Scott
Walter Scott (1771–1832) — Scottish writer, poet and historian, one of the founders of the historical novel genre. His works, such as Ivanhoe, Rob Roy and Quentin Dorward, combine fictional plots with real historical events. Scott popularized Scottish culture and history, creating large-scale novels that span different eras and conflicts. His work had a great influence on world literature, forming an interest in historical subjects.
