Peter Driben
Peter Driebenis a name inextricably linked to the golden age of American pin-up. His playful and seductive drawings of the female form became the hallmark of an entire era. Born in Boston, Driben studied in France, where he became fascinated with painting and began to create his first works.
Upon his return to America, he quickly became one of the most popular pin-up artists. His works were distinguished by bright colors, expressive lines and a special atmosphere of light flirtatiousness. Drieben skillfully depicted female beauty, emphasizing the curves of the body and playful glances.
Although his work was often criticized for being overly sexual, Drieben always maintained that his goal was not simply to depict the naked body, but to convey emotions and feelings. His drawings became a symbol of the freedom and emancipation that prevailed in American society after World War II.
