Nasim Nicholas Taleb

Naseem Nicholas Taleb is a renowned American author, economist, and risk researcher who has gained worldwide recognition for his research on unpredictability and the impact of unlikely events. Born in Lebanon in 1960, Taleb was educated in Paris and the US, including an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a doctorate in management. He worked as a trader in the financial markets and later switched to academic activities.

His most famous works are"Black Swan","Antifragility"and"Beguiled by chance", which examines how unexpected events can significantly affect our lives and economies, and why traditional forecasting models are often powerless in the face of such phenomena. Taleb argues that people need to take uncertainty and randomness into account in their decisions, and develop "antifragility"—the ability not just to survive, but to thrive under stressful conditions.

His works combine in-depth academic analysis with accessible language, making his books popular with a wide range of readers, from economists to philosophers to entrepreneurs.
