Milan Kundera

Milan Kundera (1929–2023) was a prominent Czech and French writer known for his novels that combine philosophical reflections with subtle humor and social satire. He was born in Brno, Czechoslovakia, but due to political circumstances he was forced to leave his homeland and emigrated to France in 1975. He wrote in Czech and French, and his work covers the themes of politics, personal freedom, identity, and the nature of human existence.
