Mark Twain (1835–1910)- American writer, journalist and humorist, whose real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens. Twain is one of the most famous authors of American literature, and his novels "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" are considered classics. His work is characterized by satire, sharp social commentary and criticism of society. Mark Twain is also known as a master of short stories that often ironically depict American life in the 19th century.
