M. Shukryu Hanioglu — Turkish historian, professor and researcher, known for his works on the history of the Ottoman Empire and the early Republic of Turkey. His research interests are focused on political history, the development of nationalism and transformations during the modernization of the Ottoman state. Ganioglu is the author of numerous books and articles in which he analyzes the social, political and cultural changes that took place in the Ottoman Empire at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
His work"Young Turk Revolution and Constitutionalism"is one of the most famous, where reform processes and the emergence of nationalist movements are studied. Ganioglu makes a great contribution to the understanding of historical changes that influenced the formation of modern Turkey.
