Karolina Liantskoronska — Polish aristocrat, historian, philanthropist and participant of the resistance movement during the Second World War. She was a representative of the famous Liantskoronski family, which had a significant influence on the cultural and political life of Poland. Karolina earned a doctorate in art history and was engaged in research.
During the German occupation, Liantskoronska took an active part in the Polish underground resistance movement, for which she was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp. After the war, she devoted her life to philanthropy and the support of Polish culture, founding the Liantskoronska Foundation, which provided scholarships to Polish scientists and cultural figures.
