Homer
Homer — an ancient Greek poet, who is considered the author of the epic poems "Iliad" and "Odyssey", which became the foundational works of Western literature. His life and personality are shrouded in legend, and the exact dates of his existence remain unknown, but his work is usually dated to the 8th century BC. The Iliad describes the events of the Trojan War, while the Odyssey tells the adventures of Odysseus on his way home. Homer is considered one of the most influential poets of all time.
