Ellen Lupton is an American designer, writer and curator known for her work in graphic design and typography. She is senior curator of contemporary design at the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York and teaches at the Maryland Institute of Art. Lupton is the author of numerous design books, including Thinking with Type and Graphic Design: The New Basics, which have become popular textbooks for design students around the world.
