The history of the shoe factory "Solid" is a fascinating study about the Lviv enterprise, located near Rynok Square. During the Holocaust, the monks of the Studio Statute, with the blessing of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, hid Jews at this enterprise. This is the story of Joseph Peters, known as the "Lviv Schindler", who, being a monk and a priest, created a successful production that got into the center of the rescue activity of the Head of the Greek-Catholic Church. In the basements of "Solid", women, children and men who were condemned to be destroyed in concentration camps were hidden and saved from execution. During 1942-1944, they were saved from death several times. They survived searches, denunciations, diseases and hunger together with the monks and waited for the end of the occupation.
