The book "Curating Is: The Artist-As-Curator and the Curator-As-Artist in Ukraine From the 1980s to the 2010s" is the English version of the publication "Where is curation", the editors of which are Kateryna Nosko and Valeriya Lukyanets.

The publication consists of essays and interviews covering a wide range of issues related to curation in Ukraine.

The texts of the book arose as a result of the authors' discussions with curators and artists from different cities of Ukraine, who have experience both in cooperation with curators and in their own curatorial practice.

During the conversations, the artists emphasize the importance of cooperation with the curator in the process of creating a project, where it is possible to "sit down with the curator for a project with a blank slate" (Alevtyna Kakhidze), or when "the basis of curatorial ideas is the curator's meaningful exchange with artists" (Mykola Kolomiets), and the very process of cooperation is a "feeling a certain creative path […] a line of mutual formation, transformation, when there is no feeling that someone is pressuring someone" (Yurii Leiderman).

The book presents texts based on interviews with such artists and curators as: Open Group (Yuri Biley, Anton Varga, Pavlo Kovach, Stanislav Turina), Mazokha Foundation (Ihor Dyrych, Igor Podolchak), Yuri Leiderman, Arsen Savadov, Lesya Zayats , Mykola Ridnyi, Ksenia Hnilytska, Lada Nakonechna, Nikita Kadan, Alevtyna Kahidze, Oleksandr Roitburd, Tiberiy Silvashi, Serhiy Bratkov, Yuriy Sokolov, Vlodko Kaufman, Mykola Kolomiets, Pavlo Makov, Oleksandr Solovyov and Victor Miziano.

The book was included in the shortlist "The best book design of 2018". Initiators and partners of the competition: Goethe-Institut Ukraine, Book Arsenal, Chitomo, Buchkunst and the Frankfurt Book Fair.
