These reports, with one exception, were written in 2020-2021 and cover Severodonetsk before the full-scale Russian invasion. The reader will get an idea of what it was like and what happened until 2022 in this city of Luhansk region, located on the border of Donbass and Slobozhan region; how it changed from the identity of a Soviet industrial city to the self-awareness of a city in independent Ukraine. Some reports describe the residents of the city, others tell about locations, and still others - about important events for Severodonetsk, in particular 2004 and 2014. The author, who was born and raised in Severodonetsk, in this book balances the reporting style with a subjective, sometimes ironic view of the city.
