About the book
This story tells about the Yalta Conference through the prism of women who accompanied their influential fathers. Sarah Churchill was an actress and an officer of the British Air Force, Anna Roosevelt was the only daughter of the US president who kept his secrets, and Kathleen Harriman was a ski champion and war correspondent, the daughter of the American ambassador to the Soviet Union.
What did these women have in common? How did they influence their parents' important decisions? What romantic relationships complemented their stay in Crimea? And why was Stalin's daughter not present at the conference? Author Catherine Grace Katz skillfully answers these questions, revealing political intrigue and details of events important to history.
