This book tells about the Ukrainian communities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions that existed from the early 2000s until the Russian invasion in 2014 and were ignored by the Russian-Soviet myth about Donbas. She describes cultural environments, student circles, the Ukrainian village and various religious communities. These communities became the voices of the new, post-Soviet Donetsk region and Luhansk region, which fit into the all-Ukrainian context and awakened the forgotten Ukrainianness.
