The book contains a deep analysis of historical and cultural material, which allows the author to highlight significant figurative, plastic and artistic-stylistic changes in the period of globalization in professional decorative art of Ukraine. In particular, such areas as ceramics, glass, artistic woodworking, tapestry, batik and non-traditional textiles are considered. The researcher notes that the processes of cultural globalization encourage Ukrainian artists to turn to national identity, find archetypes of their own culture and preserve its originality. Thanks to this, the integration of Ukrainian decorative art into the world cultural space at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries does not threaten its dissolution.

The author argues that professional decorative art, updated in modern conditions but based on centuries-old traditions, plays an important role in preserving national and cultural identity in the era of globalization.
