Volodymyr Rafeenko

Volodymyr Rafeenko — Ukrainian writer, poet and translator, known for his works that combine elements of realism, magical realism and postmodernism. He was born in Donetsk, and after the start of the war in eastern Ukraine, he was forced to move to Kyiv. Writes in Russian and Ukrainian.

Rafienko gained recognition for his novels Long Times and Mondegrin: Songs of Death and Love, in which he explores themes of war, loss, memory and identity. His works are distinguished by depth, symbolism and philosophical reflections. Rafienko is also a laureate of several literary prizes.
