Maria Zimbalista
Maria Tsymbalista is a native of Lviv, studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology of the Ukrainian Catholic University, where she became interested in the connection between icons and contemporary art. She continued her education in Warsaw, researching Ukrainian icon painting in museums in Poland and Ukraine, in particular the iconography of Saint Paraskeva. Since 2008, she has been working at the Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv, and since 2018 she has been the head of the graphics department. She actively promotes Ukrainian sacred art and graphics.
