Hryhoriy Chubai (1949–1982)- Ukrainian poet, translator, cultural figure, one of the most famous representatives of the "sixties generation". Born in the Lviv region, his work was significant for Ukrainian literature and national revival. Chubai is known for his poetry collections "Nativity Scene", "Pyatiknizhzhya" and "Speak, be silent and speak again". In addition to poetry, he was engaged in translation activities, translating from Polish and Czech languages. His work combined philosophical reflections, historical themes and spiritual searches.
