Galyna Istomina
Galyna Istomina is a Ukrainian art historian, a research associate at the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts of the M. T. Rylsky Institute of Art History, Folklore and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Her scientific interests focus on the study of folk and author's ceramics of Ukraine, especially in the context of the post-Soviet period and globalization processes.
In 2001–2004, she taught the history of Ukrainian art and specialized disciplines in ceramics at the Institute of Arts of Rivne State Humanitarian University. She actively participates in art projects and exhibitions, including in Ukraine and Spain, as well as in curatorial initiatives dedicated to contemporary Ukrainian ceramics. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
