Bohdan Zavitii
Bohdan Zavitii is a Ukrainian art historian, researcher, curator, and cultural manager. He is a Doctor of Art History and Director of the Museum of Art of the Carpathian Region in Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as a Senior Researcher at the Department of Art History at the Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Zavitii actively researches the sacred art of Galicia, in particular iconography and church painting. His works often focus on the study of forgotten or little-known aspects of Ukrainian sacred art.
In addition to his scientific activities, Bohdan Zavitii is an active participant in cultural life. He acts as an exhibition curator, organizing expositions representing both ancient and modern Ukrainian art. His work at the Museum of Art of Prykarpattia allows him to directly influence the preservation and popularization of the artistic heritage of the region.
