Amelia Posanza is an American writer and book publicist based in Brooklyn, New York. She works as the assistant director of public relations at Flatiron Books and has been nominated for a Publishers Weekly Star Watch Award.
In 2023, Amelia debuted with the book "Lesbian Love Story: A Memoir in Archives", which was recognized as one of the best books of the year by NPR, Shelf Awareness, and Publishers Weekly.
Her work has also been published in publications such as The Washington Post, BuzzFeed, Electric Literature, The Millions, and on NPR's Invisibilia.
In addition to her writing, Amelia teaches creative writing to high school students through Lambda Literary's Writers in School program, coaches swimming for Team New York Aquatics, and occasionally volunteers on the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. She lives in Flatbush with her cat.
