Wojciech Tochman is a Polish writer and journalist known for his insightful reports and documentaries that highlight the most pressing social and humanitarian issues of the modern world. Born in 1969 in Poland, Tokhman was educated at the Jagiellonian University. His journalistic career began in a newspaperGazeta Wyborcza, where he worked as a reporter and editor. Tokhman also founded the Institute of Reportage in Warsaw, which promotes the development of reportage literature in Poland.
His books such as"Today we will draw death."and"Drinking roosters, crying dogs", dedicated to military conflicts, ethnic cleansing, refugees and those who survived tragic events. Tokhman talks about human destinies in extremely difficult conditions, emphasizing empathy and humanity. He always strives to show the stories of those whose voices are not usually heard.
